Permanent magnets find broad applications in devices such as motors, sensors, actuators, and acoustic transducers. In the automotive industry alone, up to 120 permanent magnets are used in applications like windshield wipers, starter motors, seat adjusters, fuel pumps, and more.

Choosing the right material for magnetic sensors is vital:

• SmCo Magnets: Ideal for high-temperature applications with low magnetic losses and stable magnetic flux output. With a lower temperature coefficient, SmCo magnets offer greater magnetic stability, making them particularly suited for high-precision sensors.
• NdFeB Magnets: More cost-effective and commonly used in environments with minimal corrosion or temperature requirements. NdFeB magnets are not ideal for high-temperature or corrosive conditions.

Popular shapes for magnets in sensor applications include cylindrical, square, and ring-shaped magnets.
